The thing about Online Shopping : Trying out Getglasses.co.nz (Review)

Hey everyone! I've been away from the blog but I still do a tad bit of online shopping. I'll start with Getglasses.co.nz . I have not seen any reviews from them so decided to try them out! Going into this, I did not expect much from them due to their negative reviews I have read online.

But it arrived in around 2-3 weeks.

Decent packaging. Within a box. Bubbly-wrapped.

I order two items which were:
  • Freshlook Illuminate - Daillies Rich Brown [10 lenses] (NZD $12)
  • Blincon Classic Quarterly Wear Amazing Brown [2 lenses] (NZD $ 16)
Standard Shipping costs NZD $ 5. They ship from Malaysia.

The total order came to NZD $ 33.

What I think : Totally check them out. They have various colored lenses you can choose from! I have seen these brands sold at optometrists shops in Malaysia. I have tried the Freshlook Rich Brown Dailles and can verify they are the real deal! If you are living in New Zealand, check this site out if you are keen to get contact lenses!

The thing about Online Shipping : Cherry Culture Haul

I am terribly lowdated with Western Beauty Sites. Cherry Culture has been in the business for awhile.  They are currently clearing up their remaining stock and did not have much lipstick shades to choose from. :( Mostly nudes.

The lipsticks and lip balms were wrapped in bubble wrap.

My order included:

  1. 8 NYX Round Lipsticks (Fortune Cookie, Hot Pink, Champagne, Iced Honey, Tea, Cream, Summer Love, & Miracle) ~ USD $1 ea
  2. 2 Lip Balms from the Cherry Culture Line (Chocolate & Coffee) ~ USD $1 ea

Shipping was USD $ 11.95 (for standard shipping without tracking).
The total of my purchase came to USD $ 21.95 ~ around NZD $30

Shipping is quite expensive but it was worth it. I ordered on the 1st May, it processed on the 5th and it arrived on the 9th.

But the thing is - NYX Round Lipsticks usually retails for $USD 4 and costs NZD $10 each. So my purchase from Cherry Culture was worth the deal. Too bad they won't be selling NYX products anymore. They will be focusing on their own line.

xoxo.

The thing about online shopping: Haul from Innisfreeworld.com

Did you know that Innisfree's Official Online Store offers free shipping for your first order? YES, THEY SHIP TO NEW ZEALAND. No, I was not sponsored.

My sister ordered a huge order from them, and I was looking at her parcel with google-ly eyes. I decided to subscribe to them since they offer loads of the "buy one, free one" offer.

Then they had cushion day (50% off all their cushions), and I went with a purchase. Because I'd always wanted to try one! Cushions currently has a huge cult following in Asia and are generally expensive.

My purchase included:
  1. No sebum mineral ( 5g ) ~ NZD $9.38
  2. Water Glow Cushion  ( 15 g ) ~ NZD $16.07
  3. Long Wear Cushion Refill ( 15 g ) ~ NZD $9.38
  4. Eco Magic Puff ~  NZD $3.35

Total : NZD $ 38.18 (Free shipping yas!)

I received a mini Green Tea Skincare Kit for finishing one of the newbie how-to guide.

I ordered on 8th April and received it on and 14th April via EMS shipping (with tracking number).

I received it on time for Graduation and used the cushion for my makeup during the ceremony. Will do a review about it new week.

My verdict : I am very satisfied with my purchase. My sister had something (the ecobag and one of her masks) that was out of stock, the customer service was quick to deal it in an appropriate way. She got sent it around 2 weeks later. Plus, they have loads of deals if you are keen on buying Innisfree products and might retail for a cheaper price (compared to Ebay and other Korean Beauty sites).

xoxo.

Maybelline's Clear Smooth Shine-Free Clear B.B. Stick Review (01 Fresh)

I picked up this ages ago (2 years to be exact) at a department store back in Malaysia. Back then, I didn't even have any clue about make up!

Well, it's not available here. It retails at around MYR 20+, but I got it for around MYR18/19. They had 10% off on make up products while I was there. What a steal! What about converted to NZD? Don't even start - I'll probably blabber how Asia is the best place to buy anything....
Skin Clarifying Stick with Mineral Clay effectively and visibly clears away appearance of pores, skin impurities and absorbs excess sebum for a clearer healthy-looking skin.

There are two shades available - 01 Fresh & 02 Natural

The 01 Fresh does gives a combination of ashy grey and yellow.

Here's a swatch.

Blended out, ashy yellow.

On my face. (Without setting spray, taken from natural light)

Coverage : Light to Medium
Brightens up the face, patchy on dry areas, covers up redness but does not cover any eye bags.

Long-lastingness : 5+ hours
Not entirely shine-free, works best with a setting spray.

Scent : None

4/5 'cause accentuates the dry areas, works well on a daily basis.

I did a look with my Sleek palette and lipstick. I think it fared well.

What do you think?

Etude House x Disney 's Minnie Wink Lash #01 Up Lash

I got the Minnie Wink Upper Lashes from my Sasa haul a while back. They cost USD $ 3.90, but retails for around NZD $10 on Ebay last I checked. :O

The lashes came out from the Etude x Disney XOXO collection last year.

They have the criss-cross pattern and are actually brown false eyelashes.

It makes a huge difference having them on.

Here's a picture of the lashes on.

Side view.

Final verdict : Natural and cute lashes. Can be worn to achieve the droopy-eye effect. They're lightweight, easy to put on. The lash band is clear. Pretty flexible. I feel like it will get worn out easily. :| I like them! Would recommend them to a beginner!

XOXO

Sleek MakeUp Haul

I did a lil Sleek MakeUp haul last month because I was looking around for a decent yet affordable eyeshadow palette. Picking up a few things on the way.

Products I've purchased :

 i-Dvine Storm Palette ~ USD $ 11.99
True Colour Lipstick in Loved Up ~ USD $ 7.49
True Colour Lipstick in Mulberry ~ USD $ 7.49
Blush in Rose Gold ~ USD $ 6.99

Shipping cost : USD $ 3.44

Ordred on : 18/7
Arrived a week after.

5/5
No complaints.
Everything arrived in one piece!

Plus, it's good to know that they took the extra time with packaging.

Thank you, Martin from Sleek MakeUp!

FYI, I am well aware there are other NZ Beauty sites that sell Sleek MakeUp products but it is actually way, way cheaper to get them from their official site.
