The thing about cosmetics : It's Skin's Babyface Pure Lipstick

The other day, I came across It's Skin's Babyface products and decided to buy the lipstick and blusher (I saw less reviews about it so thought I should try out for myself!).

Cute packaging, eh? This is It's Skin's Babyface Pure Lipstick ( #09 Pink Beige).

A closer look at the lipstick - pink beige.

Before & after2Above is a picture how my lips look with the lipstick. I bit my lip the other day. Hence, flaky-looking lipskin. :|

Untitled-12But you roughly get the idea of the color.

My take on the lipstick:

Color-wise : It's not too pink. Less intense, and looks like you have no lipstick on.

Feel-wise : Like a lip balm.

Smell : The peachy smell is not too overbearing. And I like it!

Long-lastingness : Might wear off easily. 2 hours at max. Moisturised for 3 hours.

Cost : US $ 7.60 (NZD 9.65) ea - Worth the money.

Recommended for people who are going for le natural look and don't mind to carry it around to re-apply. :D Like me!

Fair enough?

The thing about life : Ebay shopping & the cold.

Ebay Shopping!

So, as you can see, I did some Ebay shopping 2 weeks ago.

The items listed are bought from Ebay seller lina_ogawa:

  • Fairy Drops Volume Burst Mascara WaterproofLas Vegas

  • Koji Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner - Deep Black

  • Diamond Lash, First Series False Eyelashes - Dolly

  • Diamond Lash, Lady Glamorous Series False Eyelash - Cat Eyes (I got them as a gift - score!)

She ships fast, and her stuff are the real deal!

I actually just received Marie Beauty Eye Charm Glue just today. :D

I'm still waiting for the rest of my Ebay purchases to come in. So excited!

On a side note, the weather's Christchurch has been cloudy. I have a wee bit of the coughs and flus. :(

But I've been treated real nicely. Thank you, Mum for Malaysian-cooking! And thank God for being able to have warm food and drinks daily.

Hope you all are keeping warm! (stay away from the cough/flu bug ;) )

The thing about pop culture : University Magazines

I decided to pick up my university's magazine.

That was a bad idea.

It is exactly the embodiment of pop culture - drugs, alcohol, sex and more sex. And often women with not much clothing on, leaving little to imagine.

I can take crudity but the thing is, it gets boring once it is used over and over. And honestly, to the point of disgusting my insides. Like, if I could describe my feelings, I would totally vomit all my intestines out and my intestines are pretty long.

The magazine does not represent most of us students, let alone represent what the students are thinking about or even want to read about. Do you think all we think about is partying/drinking all day and getting some sexy time? That's just entirely crap. Hats off to you. All those stuff makes me wonder whether university students are oblivious to their surroundings.

In the magazine's defense, some of the articles that are underrated does not appear on magazine, are on their site. Those are surprisingly bearable. I think the the editing team should balance it up and switch it up.

Of course, I did some diggin' around and found this.

Why didn't the editors put a disclaimer of some sort to clear things up? That was a pretty fail. Or are they running out of ideas to generate humor?

What a trollin' magazine. One thing's for sure, they've just lost a reader. Honestly, I don't think they mind as long as the money comes rolling in.

How are your university's magazines like?

The thing about APP games : Plant VS Zombie 2 (currently playing)

The thing about APP games : Plant VS Zombie 2The much anticipated Plants VS Zombies 2 is finally here in iTunes app store (apparently only for the New Zealand and Australia region - YES!). And it's free...for now.

I have it on my iPad :D

***MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD***

The game starts off with a basic tutorial.

Oh yeah. Pretty much. KILL ALL ZOMBIES.

Here's a screenshot of the peashooters doing the duckface. Adorable, no?

Remember Crazy Dave? In this second game, he is pretty much obsessed with his taco.

I don't know how long is 'forever'.

1005732_10151816914350769_1661682155_n

Tacos are amazing.

1000758_10151816629600769_904119321_n

Time-travelling just to eat your taco again. Ever thought of getting a new taco?

1010070_10151816628640769_1466048524_nThank you for stating the obvious.

1069998_10151816934220769_2044315906_n

Tacos weren't even invented in Ancient Egypt.

Nice going, time machine.

995127_10151816640635769_633285356_n

And so the journey begins.

1044676_10151816951735769_1513516489_n

Here's a screenshot of Ancient Egypt. You'll have to finish all the areas (and getting enough stars) to unlock a new location.

One of the new upgrades for plants are the plant food from glowing zombies/mummies.

1069882_10151816644455769_944195069_n

Plant food enhances the plant's features. Like, plants on steriods. You'll have to check out what it does 'cause it varies for each plant.

One of newest member to the family :

69228_10151816988395769_1621872624_n

Bonk Choys are badass.

WHAT I DID LIKE: I totally dig the time-travelling concept and the addition of both new zombies and plants. The new upgrades are pretty rad too.

WHAT I'M NOT REALLY SURE ABOUT : I didn't like Crazy Dave's taco obsession and its relation to the game. I just don't get it at all. One other thing was, the plant's appearance should have been designed to fit the location. Like, when you get to Ancient Egypt, you can have freaking Egyptian peashooters. That would be awesome as.

I've yet to unlock next locations and features. So far, I'll give it a 4/5 rating. I think it's one of those games you'll definitely don't want to miss.

The thing about cosmetics : Silky Girl Double Intense Black Gel Eyeliner (Review)

I usually don't glam myself up because of my lazy bottom. And I am not particularly a big fan of a fully make-up face, but that's just me. But I do think that make-up enhances one's beauty and highlights your face(literally!).

I bought Silky Girl Double Intense Gel Eyeliner a year ago in Malaysia(MYR19+?). I got them from Watsons in Malaysia.

The Silky Girl Double Intense Gel Eyeliner

The top lid has a built-in brush.

Insides of the gel eyeliner

The volume was pretty good, but the downside was it is not smudgeproof. I smudged it (probably because of my oily skin, maybe?). I even tried waiting for the eyeliner to dry itself before blinking. But, my other friend used it and she turned out alright.

'Cause I don't bother to use it anymore, couldn't find a decent picture with it on. And it was mad-hard to wash off.

What I can conclude about Silky Girl Double Intense Gel Eyeliner:

  • Not recommended for oily skin

  • A cheaper alternative for people who have dry skin and are going for the volume

  • If you do have the money, invest in an eyeliner that's more worthwhile

The thing about hate messages.

image

People are generally nice people. But there are ones that can bring you down and may not mean to hurt you.

Being called an A-hole on a note. Just because I had really lousy parking. I apologize if my parking was not up to par. I don't remember taking up all of the parking space.

Jesus had it worst.

He was betrayed by one of his bff a.k.a. Judas, plus was nailed on the cross.

Here's what Jesus  said about people you hate or don't love, hurts you etc.

"I'm sorry for being an A-hole."

But am I? Not gonna lie, I was quick to judge when the note was sitting on my windshield. We , as imperfect Christians, sometimes tend to think that we have the right to be treated nicely.

Oh come on, don't look at me like that thought has never crossed your mind.

" I have rights. I should be respected." Yes, that bandwagon. The thing is, Jesus didn't call us to be comfortable on earth. His Word makes me ,by all means, uncomfortable. And He isn't someone that is loved by the world.

How do you deal with hate messages?

The thing about blogging.

Can't believe it's been 4 years since I've left my previous blog, that was filled with insecurities, fears, and more importantly immaturity.

It's time to start again. I'll be covering life itself, reviews, and some topics that are close to my heart, like literally in a serious manner.

I don't think there're any rants up my sleeve....for now. But please, bare with me.
