I had this mascara for almost 5 months ish. Been wanting to do a review on it but didn't find the time to do it. Bought this on ebay. Refer to this post. I'm about to toss it out.
Fairy Drops' Volume Burst Waterproof Black Mascara - my first Japanese mascara. I heard good reviews about it and decided to try it out. The applicator is different from other mascaras. It has the "three teardrop wand". The hairy stuff on it are microfibers (for volume).
Reminded me of those candy sticks in China.
Anyway, back to the mascara.
Long-lastingness/Waterproof level : High (7 hours)
- The curls could last a day. Not kidding. But the microfibers might come off sideways of the upper lids after a long period of time. Harder to remove using a cleanser. Extra virgin olive oil is needed to remove it.
Overall formula : Dry - Excellent
- The formula is pretty easy to apply, not runny at all. The microfibers might cause clumps of mascara onto the eyelashes unless distributed evenly. Voluminizes the eyelash.
Worth the money (costs around USD $17.25, inculding shipping).
I've used it before getting an eyelash curler and was pretty satisfied with the mascara. The only downside is that if you accidentally get some mascara on your lash line, it irritates the eye even after removing it. My eye got itchy and there was a tiny little bump was on my lash line, got healed after a day tough.
Moving onto the falsies - Natural Handmade False Eyelash #013
Got them for USD $1-2 a box.
Design : Gyaru, Japanese-like
- Dollish look. It was too long for me. I had to cut the sides off. These lashes are really exaggerated up-close, and they're not even thick ones. Lil bit biased because I usually go for the natural look. They look pretty decent from afar.
Comfort level : Low to Average
- It was alright when I just had them on but my upper eyelid got heavy after having them on for 2 hours. D:
Definitely worth the money but these falsies might tire your eyes out. More exaggerated eye make up is needed to pair with these falsies.
